Protolito 原岩
Protolito is the Italian word for protolith. It derives from ancient Greek prōto and líthos, meaning first stone, which refers to the original and unmetaphoric rock. Under heat and pressure over a long period of time, the original rock can transform into diverse types of rocks, such as marble and slate. The finish Protolito represents the raw and original sense of protolith with transformative potentials hidden within. It has earthy red and yellow tones, a vivid rough touch feel, and a dimmed gleam. Vessels with a Protolito finish might appear heavy but often feel light when held in hand.
